Pip — fantasy tavern companion

Pip gives a fantasy settlement a moment of everyday life between adventures. He can be a traveller sharing news at an inn, a cheerful contact who helps the party settle into a new town, or a witness whose casual story contains a clue everyone has missed. Use him to make hospitality and friendship part of the adventure: learning whom he trusts may matter as much as discovering what he knows.
