Boushh bounty huntress — sand, brown and black

Sand-coloured fabric, brown wraps and dark helmet recesses give Boushh an earthy palette. Separate leather and weapon highlights preserve the narrow folds and clean equipment boundaries without adding new markings.

Ready Boushh and the staff
Clean the staff tips and the tight spaces around both grips, wash away skin oils and dry the model thoroughly. Apply Grey Surface Primer while rotating the staff through the spray so its underside and the cloth hidden behind it receive a fine coat.
Expected result
The undercoat reaches all four sides of the staff and the cloth beneath it without rounding the electrical fittings.
Points to watch
Do not leave a bare stripe behind the staff or seal the gaps between its end fittings.

1. Prepare the model

Clean the staff tips and the tight spaces around both grips, wash away skin oils and dry the model thoroughly. Apply Grey Surface Primer while rotating the staff through the spray so its underside and the cloth hidden behind it receive a fine coat.
Expected result
The undercoat reaches all four sides of the staff and the cloth beneath it without rounding the electrical fittings.

2. Apply the base colours

Sand-coloured clothing foundation

Work Zandri Dust down the cloak from the shoulders to the lower edges, then cover the tunic and both trouser legs. Beneath the long staff, use the side of the brush so the metal shaft stays clean.
Expected result
The sand base is even across all the clothing, including the narrow areas beneath the arms and behind the staff.
Points to watch
Keep the brown gloves, straps and the metal tube crossing the abdomen free of the sand colour.
Deep black helmet structure
Where to paint: Helmet, visor, gloves, boots and leather gear
Abaddon Blackcitadel · 21-25
Cover the crown panel, face mask and side blocks with Abaddon Black. Leave a fine boundary beside the sand-coloured collar and reach carefully beneath the visor overhang.
Expected result
The helmet reads as one deep black shell, while its stepped panels and visor remain distinct.
Points to watch
Do not carry black onto the sand hood or fill the fine grooves in the side blocks.
Warm leather equipment

XV-88citadel · 21-21
Paint each leather element separately with XV-88. Begin with the bandolier and its pouches, then cover the belt, holster and boot cuffs, preserving a dark line between neighbouring buckles.
Expected result
Each pouch remains distinct, and the belt and holster stand apart from the sand-coloured clothing.
Points to watch
Keep XV-88 off the metal fasteners and the dark gloves gripping the staff.
Metal foundation for the electrostaff

Brush Gunmetal Grey along the long shaft, steering around both hands. Then cover the cylindrical blocks, lower tube and rings at both ends.
Expected result
The staff is metallic along its full length, including the gaps between the fingers and both parallel tubes on the right.
Points to watch
Keep the brown gloves clean and do not leave black primer on the lower tube beside the right-hand head.

3. Build the shadows

Depth in the cloth folds

Guide Agrax Earthshade into the folds with the tip of the brush, working down from the top of the cloak. On the forward trouser leg, confine the shadow to the underside of the knee and the edge of the boot.
Expected result
The folds have convincing depth, while the broad front of the leading leg remains light and free of stains.
Points to watch
Do not wash the clothing as a whole or leave a brown pool where the staff meets the sleeves.
Separation in the leather gear
Where to paint: Helmet, visor, gloves, boots and leather gear
Agrax Earthshadecitadel · 24-15
Run a fine line of Agrax Earthshade through the leather joins. Shade the underside of each bandolier pouch and the recess beneath the upper ring of each boot.
Expected result
The equipment gains depth and separates cleanly from the cloth without broad dirty patches.
Points to watch
Do not collect wash around every buckle or shade the exposed fingers as though they were leather.
Mechanical depth along the staff
Where to paint: Electrostaff and metal fittings
Nuln Oilcitadel · 24-14
Place Nuln Oil in the ring grooves and draw it along the underside of the shaft. Preserve one narrow, continuous shadow between the two parallel tubes on the right.
Expected result
Every section is separated, while the long shaft still reads as a rounded metal cylinder.
Points to watch
Do not cover the upper face with Nuln Oil or leave dark runs across the fingers.

4. Build the highlights

Soft volume on the sand cloth
Where to paint: Sand-coloured clothing, wraps and cloak
Ushabti Bonecitadel · 22-32
Feather Ushabti Bone over the crests of the folds. Widen the light across the forward leg, narrow it on the sleeves and finish the cloak edge with separate short strokes.
Expected result
The clothing has soft volume, and the brighter forward leg reinforces the figure's step.
Points to watch
Do not turn every fold into a pale stripe or brighten the inside of the cloak to the same value.
Readable edges on the black helmet
Where to paint: Helmet, visor, gloves, boots and leather gear
Dawnstonecitadel · 22-49
Draw a thin Dawnstone line along the front rim and stop it at the round fitting on the crown. Add one short mark to each outer corner of the mask.
Expected result
The helmet's shape is clear without lifting the black body colour, and the visor remains the deepest band.
Points to watch
Do not ring the round crown fitting or turn the lower mask grey.
A continuous light across the electrostaff
Where to paint: Electrostaff and metal fittings
Silvervallejo · 70.997
Draw broken Silver highlights along the top of the shaft, stopping at the fingers. Across the rings and head, place short marks perpendicular to the cylindrical forms.
Expected result
A clear line of light travels from the left terminal to the right-hand head, while the lower tube remains darker.
Points to watch
Do not drag an unbroken pale stripe across the hands or highlight both parallel tubes equally.
Final accents on the moving silhouette
Where to paint: Sand-coloured clothing, wraps and cloak
Screaming Skullcitadel · 22-33
Reserve Screaming Skull for the sharpest points: one short line on the shoulder, a few marks above the knee and two small touches on the lower cloak edge.
Expected result
The final accents lead the eye diagonally from the shoulder to the advancing leg.
Points to watch
Do not outline the full hem or mirror identical highlights on both trouser legs.
