Prepare the stalker
Check the thin sword teeth for damage and remove visible mould lines. Wash the figure in warm soapy water, rinse and let it dry completely. Apply Black Surface Primer in thin coats, turning the figure to reach behind the arms.
Expected result
The black primer covers the figure without obscuring the sword teeth or gem settings.
Points to watch
Do not bridge the gaps between the sword teeth with primer.

Check the thin sword teeth for damage and remove visible mould lines. Wash the figure in warm soapy water, rinse and let it dry completely. Apply Black Surface Primer in thin coats, turning the figure to reach behind the arms.

2. Apply the base colours

Cover these areas with two thin coats of Caliban Green. Add a little Abaddon Black to the green for the undersides of the shoulders and overlapping hip plates. Keep this darker mixture close to the recesses.
Expected result
The plates are evenly green, with deeper shadows beneath their edges.
Points to watch
Leave the helmet, weapon casings and flexible suit outside the green areas.
Warm ivory

Apply Ushabti Bone in thin coats until the black no longer shows through. Dilute Agrax Earthshade with water and place it in the mouth vents, beneath the helmet brow and along the casing recesses. Remove any puddles with a clean damp brush.
Expected result
Ivory is opaque; the face and weapon details remain distinct.
Points to watch
Keep the eye lenses and steel teeth clear of the ivory paint.
Readable black

Paint the flexible suit and grips Abaddon Black. Add Eshin Grey to the raised folds, then a small amount of Dawnstone to the upper knuckles and abdominal ridges. Thin the grey so the highlights build gradually rather than leaving hard pale patches.
Expected result
The flexible parts stay black and separate clearly from the green armour.
Points to watch
Do not extend black paint onto the smooth green hip plates.

3. Build the highlights

Mix Warpstone Glow into Caliban Green and build translucent layers towards the upper curves. Let each layer dry before narrowing the next. Add a little Screaming Skull to the final mix for a few short edge highlights; the lower legs need less contrast than the head and chest.
Expected result
The green remains dark overall, but the upper armour catches the light.
Points to watch
Avoid outlining every plate with the same bright line.

Blend Screaming Skull into Ushabti Bone on the forehead, then soften the transition with a thin glaze of the mid-tone. Use a smaller highlight on the cheek ridges and the sword edge. Preserve the warm shadows around the face.
Expected result
The helmet draws attention without turning chalky white.
Points to watch
Do not cover the whole helmet with the lightest mixture.

4. Paint the details

Paint the teeth and pistol muzzle with Leadbelcher, then shade their recesses with Nuln Oil. Once dry, add Ironbreaker to the tooth tips and the upper lip of the muzzle. Leave the gaps between the teeth and the bore dark.
Expected result
Steel teeth are distinct from the ivory sword casing.
Points to watch
Avoid dragging silver across the ivory blade housing.

Paint the raised metal gem rims with Retributor Armour, shade their lower edges with Reikland Fleshshade and highlight the top with Liberator Gold. Use Mephiston Red for the red stones and Kabalite Green for the green ones. Lighten the lower part of each large stone with a little White Scar mixed into its base colour; place a tiny white reflection at the top. Paint the eye and pistol lenses with Sotek Green and Temple Guard Blue along the lower edge. The smallest lenses need only one pale mark.
Expected result
The coloured accents remain inside their sculpted settings.
Points to watch
Do not add gems or cast coloured glow onto neighbouring armour.

5. Add effects and weathering

Apply very dilute Karak Stone around the soles, keeping most of it on the toes and heels. Add a few small worn marks with a nearly unloaded brush. If the dust rises too far or hides the green, restore Caliban Green above it.
Expected result
The feet look lightly dusty without turning the legs beige.
Points to watch
Do not stipple the whole suit or cover the knee highlights.
