Prepare the bike
Wash and cure resin parts as directed by the resin manufacturer. Remove support scars, seams and dust; check access around the twin exhausts before final assembly. Prime the dry model with thin coats of Black Surface Primer, then let it cure.
Expected result
The recesses are covered but the tyre tread and exhaust slots remain open.
Points to watch
Do not fill the gun openings with primer.

Expected result
The recesses are covered but the tyre tread and exhaust slots remain open.
Points to watch
Do not fill the gun openings with primer.

2. Apply the base colours

Paint the main panels and front gun housings Mephiston Red. Use Ushabti Bone for the broad front cowling, rear upper panels and pale trim. Keep the tyre, seat and grips Abaddon Black; paint exposed machinery and exhausts Leadbelcher. Use Retributor Armour only on the small brass caps and fittings. Build coverage with thin coats.
Expected result
All materials are covered and the ivory-red boundaries are clean.
Points to watch
Do not turn the exhausts or gun bodies gold.

3. Build the highlights

Shade lower panel edges with a translucent 1:1 mix of Mephiston Red and Rhinox Hide. Layer Mephiston Red back towards the upper planes, then add Evil Sunz Scarlet for smaller highlights. Smooth any bands with a red glaze and finish selected upper edges with a fine scarlet line.
Expected result
Upper surfaces are brighter without making every panel uniformly orange.
Points to watch
Avoid outlining every edge at equal brightness.
Keep the ivory clean and warm

Thin Seraphim Sepia with AK Glaze Medium 1:2 and shade only beneath lips and beside joins. Build Ushabti Bone towards the upper surfaces, then blend in Screaming Skull. Use the palest mix sparingly along upper rims and front corners.
Expected result
Broad panels stay smooth, with warm shadows and a few pale highlights.
Points to watch
Do not flood the entire ivory surface with wash.
Separate rubber from seat leather

Mix a little Dawnstone into Abaddon Black. Use broad, soft highlights on the seat, but short, dull highlights on raised tread blocks and grips. Keep most of each surface black. If the tyre is glossy after drying, apply a thin coat of Vallejo Mecha Matt Varnish there only.
Expected result
The tyre looks matte while the seat has a softer, broader reflection.
Points to watch
Do not drybrush the whole tyre pale grey or paint the wheel rim as leather.
Finish steel and restrained heat staining
Where to paint: Steel exhausts and machinery, small brass fittings

Shade steel joints with Nuln Oil. Layer Ironbreaker along the lit sides of cylinders and add a few Vallejo Silver edge glints. Shade brass with Agrax Earthshade and highlight with Liberator Gold. Thin Seraphim Sepia and Vallejo Violeta Wash with medium at least 1:3; apply faint, separate bands near exhaust outlets, letting each dry.
Expected result
Metal reflections remain visible through the subtle exhaust tint.
Points to watch
Do not cover the exhausts in opaque rainbow colours.
