Clean and prime T3-M4
Remove seam lines and loose residue without bending the thin underbody rods. Wash the droid, rinse it and let it dry fully. Apply Grey Surface Primer in light coats, reaching beneath the head and between the feet.
Expected result
Primer covers the recessed surfaces while the rods remain separate.
Points to watch
Do not let primer collect around the small circular lamps.

1. Prepare the model

Remove seam lines and loose residue without bending the thin underbody rods. Wash the droid, rinse it and let it dry fully. Apply Grey Surface Primer in light coats, reaching beneath the head and between the feet.
Expected result
Primer covers the recessed surfaces while the rods remain separate.
Points to watch
Do not let primer collect around the small circular lamps.

2. Apply the base colours

Paint the blue areas with two thin coats of The Fang. Mix a little Abaddon Black into it for the lower edges and the shadows beneath the head. Keep the ivory inset panels clean.
Expected result
The blue is even and becomes darker beneath overhanging parts.

Do not turn the exposed metal joints blue.

Cover the inset panels with Ushabti Bone. When dry, place diluted Agrax Earthshade along their lower borders and around the front recesses. Keep the wash away from the middle of the head panel.
Expected result
Warm shadows separate the ivory panels from the blue frame.

Do not fill the engraved panel seams.

Paint the exposed joints and axles Leadbelcher; use Abaddon Black on the underbody and inner rods. Shade the steel with Nuln Oil. After it dries, add narrow Ironbreaker highlights on the upper joint rims, leaving the centre recesses dark.
Expected result
Metal rims catch the light while the underbody stays subdued.
Points to watch
Do not carry silver paint onto the amber centres of the joints.

Blend Russ Grey into The Fang in thin layers across the upper head rim and the fronts of the legs. Add short Fenrisian Grey accents on the edges closest to the light. Leave the rear feet quieter.
Expected result
The curved head remains blue, with a smooth light-to-shadow transition.
Points to watch
Avoid a uniform pale outline around every panel.
Soft light on ivory

Blend Screaming Skull into Ushabti Bone and build a soft highlight towards the upper left. Use the lightest mixture sparingly on the head panel; leave a warm mid-tone visible around it.
Expected result
Ivory contrasts with the blue without becoming pure white.
Points to watch
Keep these panels free of silver highlights.

Start the main optic with Sotek Green, leaving its upper rim dark. Blend Temple Guard Blue into the lower half and add a tiny White Scar reflection above it. Paint the small lamps Averland Sunset with Fire Dragon Bright near their centres. A spot of gloss varnish belongs on the glass only.
Expected result
The cyan optic is the clearest focal point; the amber lamps remain secondary.
Points to watch
Do not add extra lights or paint glow across the blue casing.

Place a few small Rhinox Hide chips where the feet and panel corners would scrape. Add a fine Karak Stone mark beneath selected chips and a thin dusty glaze near the ground. If the surface becomes busy, restore The Fang between the marks.
Expected result
The wear explains use without hiding the blue paint.
Points to watch
Do not cover broad smooth panels in random speckles.
