Goffs black, red and checks

Black hull plates and strong red clan panels frame the Gargant's steel weapon batteries. A few warm metal fittings and concentrated upper-deck highlights keep the crowded machine readable from its head down to the heavy lower hull.

Prepare the Mega Gargant
Work a dry brush through the stacked decks, remove loose print fuzz and wash the model until the runoff is clean. Once dry, build Black Surface Primer with quick passes from many angles, pausing to inspect the crowded lower weapons.
Expected result
Black primer reaches the backs of the platforms and the undersides of the guns without hiding ladders or rivets.
Points to watch
Do not mistake deep cavities for finished black areas; inspect them under a second light before basecoating.

1. Prepare the model

Prepare the Mega Gargant

2. Apply the base colours

Establish the Goff colour hierarchy
Where to paint: Black decks and hull with selected red clan panels

Reinforce the hull with thin Abaddon Black wherever the primer looks dusty. Paint the largest clan panels with Mephiston Red, repeating the coat only after the first has dried. Leave narrow black separations around those red shapes.
Expected result
Black remains the dominant mass and the red panels form a few clear signals across the silhouette.
Points to watch
Do not alternate every panel black and red or close the gaps between stacked decks.
Make each weapon battery readable
Where to paint: Gun barrels, pipes, pistons and exposed mechanisms

Retributor Armourcitadel · 21-35
Paint the barrel clusters Leadbelcher one battery at a time, leaving the black housings between them. Add Retributor Armour to a few collars and central gears so the eye can follow the machine inward toward the head.
Expected result
Separate metal groups are visible across the machine and the black housings still frame them.
Points to watch
Do not paint whole weapon decks silver or repeat gold on every mechanical part.

3. Build the shadows

Deepen the batteries and sharpen their working ends

Touch Nuln Oil into barrel roots, piston joints and pipe junctions, then draw excess away from the flat steel. Once dry, use Stormhost Silver on muzzle rims and the forward corners of the upper battery.
Expected result
Muzzles stay dark and open, while the upper working edges catch restrained silver light.
Points to watch
Do not fill the small muzzles with shade or line every pipe in bright silver.

4. Build the highlights

Glaze Corvus Black over the upward deck faces, then place Eshin Grey on the front rims. Reserve Dawnstone for a few corners around the head and top battery. Draw Agrax Earthshade under each red panel instead of washing its whole face.
Expected result
The upper structure is readable without turning the black hull grey, and the red remains saturated.
Points to watch
Do not outline every deck or brighten the lower hull to the same level as the head.

5. Add effects and weathering

Show weight and use without covering the sculpt
Where to paint: Feet, lower hull, exhaust soot and worn weapon edges

Stormhost Silvercitadel · 22-75
Stipple Agrax Earthshade around the feet and lower hull, keeping the densest marks below the first weapon deck. Break the outer edge with a few Eshin Grey chips on black plates. Place Stormhost Silver only on the leading corners of the heaviest guns.
Expected result
The walker looks dirtier and more worn toward the ground, while the head and upper decks remain legible.
Points to watch
Do not distribute identical chips evenly or turn the lower hull into a solid brown block.
