Prepare the Green Stalker
Clean the weapon shaft and cloak edge, wash the model and let the close arm joints dry completely. Use Black Surface Primer in thin angled passes, checking the far side of the torso and the inside of the cloak.
Expected result
Black primer covers the complete silhouette and leaves the long weapon straight and finely defined.
Points to watch
Do not allow primer to collect along the cloak hem or hide the separation around the gripping hand.

1. Prepare the model

Clean the weapon shaft and cloak edge, wash the model and let the close arm joints dry completely. Use Black Surface Primer in thin angled passes, checking the far side of the torso and the inside of the cloak.
Expected result
Black primer covers the complete silhouette and leaves the long weapon straight and finely defined.
Points to watch
Do not allow primer to collect along the cloak hem or hide the separation around the gripping hand.

2. Apply the base colours

Lay Death Guard Green across the plates with strokes following each curve. Once opaque, run Agrax Earthshade into the chest divisions, under the shoulder rims and around the backpack vents, lifting any spill from the flat green.
Expected result
All plates are solid forest green and remain separated by narrow warm shadows.
Points to watch
Do not leave the rear backpack shells in primer or stain the ivory helmet with the shade.
Base colour

Build Wraithbone smoothly over the pale shapes. With Agrax Earthshade, draw the helmet vents, the seams around weapon mechanisms and the gaps between fingers; clean the broad ivory immediately.
Expected result
The ivory forms are complete and warm, with narrow brown separation that never clouds the centre of a panel.
Points to watch
Do not treat the hand as a glove: preserve every finger division and the dark gap beneath the palm.

3. Build the highlights

Glaze Elysian Green into the upper half of these forms, leaving the lower forest green visible. Place Ogryn Camo on the crest tips and the corners nearest the face, keeping the marks shorter on the legs.
Expected result
The leader's upper body is brighter than the legs, and each plate still carries a full dark-to-light transition.
Points to watch
Avoid a continuous lime outline around the miniature; the light should describe planes, not draw a sticker edge.
Shape and highlight
Where to paint: Ivory faceplate and weapon casings

Feather Screaming Skull onto the faceplate from the brow downward, stopping before the vents. Repeat with a smaller band along the weapon tops and two neat marks on the hand.
Expected result
The faceplate is the clearest ivory focal point; weapons and hand echo it without matching its brightness.
Points to watch
Keep the helmet vents dark and do not chalk the lower half of the pistol casing.
Focal detail
Where to paint: Weapon blades, mechanics, spirit stones and lenses

Fill the stones with Mephiston Red, keeping their ivory or green rims visible. Draw Turquoise 70.966 through both eye slits and place a smaller matching mark in the pistol sight.
Expected result
Red stones and cyan optics are cleanly separated; the paired helmet eyes remain the brightest optical detail.
Points to watch
Do not paint armour rivets as gems or let turquoise spill across the ivory faceplate.

4. Paint the details

Deepen the gaps with Abaddon Black, then brush Corvus Black across the raised rib tops. Add one Eshin Grey tick to the neck and forward elbow where the face light would catch.
Expected result
The suit stays matte and black while its ribbing is readable beneath the armour.
Points to watch
Do not widen the undersuit onto the smooth green hip or thigh plates.

Stormhost Silvercitadel · 22-75
Paint the teeth one by one with Leadbelcher, leaving the ivory casing visible between their roots. Use Stormhost Silver on the outer tips and as a short crescent around the pistol muzzle.
Expected result
Every tooth remains distinct and the pistol muzzle has a dark open centre.
Points to watch
Do not turn the whole chainsword edge into one thick silver band.
