Epic Eldar Falcon hull — golden yellow

Golden yellow upper panels sit over warmer ochre sides on the Epic Falcon hull. Dark openings, steel weapon rings and a few pale nose accents preserve the shallow ribs and slender silhouette at small scale.

Prepare the shallow ribs without softening them
Inspect the nose slots and upper ribs under a low side light, then remove any print fuzz from the cannon mount and fin. Wash the vehicle with a soft brush, rinse it and let the rib channels dry completely. Apply Grey Surface Primer in thin passes along the hull, turning the model to reach the underside without filling the vents.
Expected result
Primer is smooth across the broad panels and reaches the underside, while every rib channel and vent remains open.
Points to watch
Do not trap water beneath the rear shell or build a grainy primer edge around the nose slots.

1. Prepare the model

Inspect the nose slots and upper ribs under a low side light, then remove any print fuzz from the cannon mount and fin. Wash the vehicle with a soft brush, rinse it and let the rib channels dry completely. Apply Grey Surface Primer in thin passes along the hull, turning the model to reach the underside without filling the vents.
Expected result
Primer is smooth across the broad panels and reaches the underside, while every rib channel and vent remains open.
Points to watch
Do not trap water beneath the rear shell or build a grainy primer edge around the nose slots.

2. Apply the base colours

Establish the warm Falcon-derived hull colour

Cover the hull with a smooth XV-88 foundation, working from the nose toward the rear shell. Mix a little Light Orange into XV-88 and lay it over the upward panels and rib tops in two thin coats, leaving the lower sides visibly more ochre.
Expected result
The hull reads as one golden-yellow material with a clear shift from ochre sides to brighter upper planes.
Points to watch
Do not cover the rib channels with the orange mix or leave chalky patches on the broad nose.
Separate the weapon and engine from the warm hull
Where to paint: Long cannon, rear engine ribs and recessed mechanics

Paint the cannon mount and deep openings Abaddon Black, keeping a clean boundary against the yellow nose. Cover the barrel rings and rear engine ribs with Leadbelcher, turning the vehicle so the underside of the long weapon is not left in primer.
Expected result
The cannon is a complete dark-steel form from mount to tip, and the rear engine is clearly distinct from the hull.
Points to watch
Do not paint the yellow cannon housing silver or leave the underside of the barrel unfinished.

3. Build the shadows

Define the ribs and sharpen the forward silhouette

Draw Agrax Earthshade through the rib channels and panel joins with the tip of the brush, then clean any spill from the flat yellow. Use Ushabti Bone on the nose corners and leading rib tips. Add only three or four Screaming Skull points along the foremost edges.
Expected result
Each rib is separated by a warm shadow, and the nose is brighter without becoming a pale outline.
Points to watch
Do not wash the whole golden hull or trace every rear edge with ivory.

4. Build the highlights

Place Nuln Oil between the barrel rings and into the engine ribs, then remove any pool from the raised steel. Draw narrow Ironbreaker bands across the upper arc of each ring. Finish with one Stormhost Silver point on the muzzle tip.
Expected result
The barrel rings alternate dark gaps and cool upper bands, ending in one precise muzzle glint.
Points to watch
Do not edge every side of every ring or turn the engine ribs into bright silver bars.

5. Add effects and weathering

Stipple a few XV-88 marks onto the forward corners, keeping each mark smaller than the nearby panel seam. Add Screaming Skull to the front edge of only two chips. Glaze a thin line of Agrax Earthshade beneath the hull and fade it before the rear shell.
Expected result
Wear points toward the front, the underside is slightly dusty and most of the golden hull remains smooth.
Points to watch
Do not sponge random chips over the ribs or paint long grime streaks at this physical scale.
